With over two decades of experience, Samantha combines her expertise in clinical psychology, mindfulness, and positive psychology to support individuals in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life.

About Samantha

Samantha has a PhD in Clinical Psychology, specialising in supporting individuals with mental health issues, chronic illness, and weight management. She has been working in the field since 2000, bringing a wealth of experience to her clients. As the Director of Inner Light Psychology, Samantha offers therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Samantha's PhD research focuses on helping people clarify their values to build and maintain motivation, grounded in positive psychology principles to promote health and vitality. She is particularly skilled in delivering Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and has developed various evidence-based programs for both the general community and specific groups, including health professionals, parents, and corporate teams.

Samantha has taught at the University of Wollongong and the University of the Sunshine Coast, and she is an AHPRA registered Supervisor in Clinical Psychology. She has presented at national and international conferences on topics including self-care, acceptance and commitment therapy, and positive psychology. Samantha has received numerous awards, including the Dean’s Award, the John Freestone Award for Clinical Excellence, and a High Commendation for her PhD titled “Recovery Goals.” She was also the recipient of an NHMRC grant to complete her PhD.
